Germany knows many firearms laws so i only show the basic rules you need to know if you want to travel trough Germany with your airsoft replica’s. For the people who want to read the whole deal here is the link to the complete German firearms law.
The basics:
Airsoft replicas with a kinetic energy of more than 0.5 joules may only fire semi-automatically and must have a valid F-certification. You can check whether your replicas have a valid F-certification at https://oar.ptb.de/files/download/681c919e56c1bc56af29c2de
Airsoft replicas with a maximum kinetic energy of <0.5 joules may fire in full auto mode. If your replica fires less than 0.5 joules it does not require any additional specific marking as it is considered a toy. However, a 0.5 joule marking is recommended to avoid misunderstandings and to prevent the weapon from being seized by the police as a precaution during a check.
Transport:
Replicas must be transported in a locked case or bag and kept separate from magazines.
Prohibited items:
Flashlights, lasers, etc., equipped with mounting options such as Picatinny rails, M-locks, etc. are PROHIBITED. Dummies are permitted.
Handy forms.
The German Airsoft Gun Association (Verband Deutscher Buchsenmacher) has provided information sheets that you can complete and keep with your replicas during transport, so that officers are aware of the requirements during a police check.
A little bit of advice:
If you are stopped, cooperate, don’t be smart. German police officers are very strict about enforcing firearms laws. Smart behavior will only result in your replicas being confiscated for inspection, with all the associated costs and consequences.
